The “AI in Action” Conference, organized by Sabancı University School of Languages on June 13, 2026, brought together educators, academics, and professionals to address the transformative role of artificial intelligence in language education. The conference provided a significant platform for discussing the opportunities and responsibilities that AI offers in the field of education.
During the event, participants had the opportunity to evaluate current approaches and best practices regarding how AI can be integrated into teaching and learning processes in an ethical, responsible, and effective manner.
The opening speeches were delivered by Mustafa Canlı, General Director of Innovation and Educational Technologies at the Turkish Ministry of National Education, and Prof. Dr. Yavuz Samur, Dean of the Faculty of Educational Sciences at Bahçeşehir University. The speakers shared important insights on current developments in educational technologies and the impact of AI on the future of education with the participants.
Throughout the day, presentations and interactive sessions provided participants with the opportunity to share their experiences, innovative applications, and future perspectives on the use of artificial intelligence in English language education.
